What is the Loyalty Bonus?
A special give-back to our members as a thank-you for your continued trust and support.
As a member-owner of the credit union, you have a direct impact on our overall success. When we succeed, our members share in that success.
Gulf Coast Educators is a not-for-profit cooperative made up of educators helping educators. Here, your money isn’t being used to pay thousands of shareholders, or to pay big bonuses to a board of directors (ours are all volunteers). We invest your money back into you, which is why your loyalty matters.
When you do small things, like using your debit card, having direct deposit set up, leaving reviews, or referring your friends and family, you are helping your credit union grow. As we grow, we are able to provide more innovative technology, open more branches, and ultimately, serve you better. And when we do really well, we are able to pay out a loyalty bonus.
Including previous successful years, the credit union has paid out a total of $15.9 million in loyalty bonuses to members.

Refer A Friend: Rules and Qualifications: To receive $100 referral bonus, you must be a member of Gulf Coast Educators FCU in good standing with no charged off or delinquent accounts or loans. When someone you referred opens a new GCEFCU membership with a savings and checking account with active debit card usage using your referral link, we will deposit $100 into your primary savings account, and $100 into their primary savings account. Active debit card usage is defined as 15 debit card transactions within the first 45 days of membership. Rewards will be deposited within 7-10 business days after all qualifications have been met. Both individuals must be 18 years or older. A minimum balance of $1 is required to open and maintain a GCEFCU membership. Offer expires within 90 days of original referral date.
