Pasadena, TX: Gulf Coast Educators FCU recognizes top school principals in the state of Texas every October in honor of school principal’s month. Gulf Coast Educators FCU wants principals to know we value and appreciate their commitment to education.

To recognize top area principals for their hard work, Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union holds a Principal’s Month recognition program. This year they received a total of 320 nominations from all over the state of Texas. A committee composed of credit union employees selected the top four finalists:

  • Dr. Cedric B. Stewart, Aldine ISD

  • Bathsheba Nash, Houston ISD

  • Matthew Cooper, Dickinson ISD

  • Ariane Moore, Beaumont ISD

The public was then allowed the opportunity to vote for their choice of “Principal of the Year.” All finalists would receive an award and $500 honorarium for their school. The individual with the most votes and named GCEFCU’s 2025 Principal of the Year would receive an award and $2,500 honorarium to their school.

The credit union received nearly 2,000 votes from the public. Principal Matthew Cooper from McAdams Junior High School in Dickinson ISD was named Gulf Coast Educators FCU’s 2025 Principal of the Year.

The credit union would like to congratulate Principal Matthew Cooper, the remaining finalists, and all nominees that were received on a job well done.
